The Alberta Street Pencil Skirt is a great classic silhouette for any season. It is a slim fitting, unlined skirt with little to no ease in the hips with a tapered hem that lands just below the knees. It features a contoured waistband that sits just below the waist, angled and oversized front patch pockets, double back darts, a back vent and center back zipper. The instructions call for a set in back zipper however, an invisible zipper could easily be substituted for an intermediate or advanced sewist. This is an advanced beginner level pattern. This little 30”x30” beauty was made with the ‘Homeward’ fabric collection designed by Natalie Barnes (Beyond the Reef) for Windham Fabrics. I was honored to be included again in the "My Nine" quilt collaboration with my original quilt being auctioned off for charity. This medallion style quilt features an 18” ‘Round’ Sunflower block surrounded by a colorful band and petals to create this Homeward Bloom. Makes a great wall-hanging or a beautiful medallion to begin a larger project!
This 56”x56” medallion style quilt features Kathy Doughty’s “Horizons” fabric collection from FreeSpirit. Compass blocks finished using the OctaCompass method for a no-circle finish. Bonus pattern included – Happy Horizon 45”x60”. Must have purchased the Fat Robin 16-Point Mariner’s Compass Book and Ruler combo (or the former Fat Robin 60˚Mariner's Compass Book and Ruler combo).
