The Nehalem is based on the traditional Thai fisherman’s pants worn by fishermen in Eastern Asia. The traditional pant is a one-size-fits-all, very baggy, loose-fitting pant that is wrapped and tied to fit. While still a loose-fitting wrap, the Nehalem has been slimmed down a bit and has been graded to better fit your size. The back rise of the pant is not as baggy as a traditional fisherman pant as it has a bit of a curve to its rise - for a more attractive and fitted back view. The Nehalem skirt is a take on the fisherman pant as well. It also wraps and ties to make for an easy fitting, easy to wear piece. It features oversized side patch pockets, vertical front and back seaming and a wide waistband that can be folded down or worn upright and tied. The skirts feature an above the knee version and a tea length version. No closures to sew. The Nehalem pants feature oversized side patch pockets, vertical back seaming and a wide waistband that can be worn upright or folded down and tied. The pants feature cropped and long versions. No closures to sew. All versions have 2 options for the waistband construction. There is a double layered, more finished waistband construction (option #1) or a single layer, longer (option #2) that is less bulky. Make any view up in a luxurious fabric and wear it with heels for a dressed up look, try lightweight denim for a new take on jeans or sew it in funky printed cotton and it just may become your favorite loungewear piece. The pants are less bulky and a bit more slimming if sewn in a fabric with some drape such as denim Tencel. The skirt, on the other hand, works great in a fabric with more body. However you make your Nehalem, the creative dressing options are endless with this pattern. This is a beginner level pattern sizes XS - XXL

Details: Beautiful details elevate the Tofino Pants from simple lounge pants to a well created garment. Sizes: 0-16 included Skill Level: Beginner Format: Paper Here's the first pattern that you won't want to leave the house in! The Tofino Pants are cozy, casual pyjama pants for lounging at home. They're more fitted than your typical slouchy PJ pants, but just as comfortable! The rise is cut higher in the back and lower in the front so it's more comfortable for sitting. Faux-fly detail adds a modern touch. Piping and vertical seaming down the sides elongates the leg and adds a bright touch of colour. At the waistline, there's both elastic in the casing and a fabric tie belt to customize the fit. Your choice of full length pants or knee length shorts. If you're a beginner, you could definitely make these pants, but you may want to skip the piping on your first pair to make them even easier to sew. So cosy, you'll reach for them the minute you get home! Note: Pants on model are hemmed to fit, and are about 4" (10cm) longer than the garment shown. Check the finished inseam measurements when making your own pair! Sizing is proportioned for a pear-shaped figure: smaller waist, larger hips.
The Burnside Bibs are not your traditional work overalls. Yes they are comfortable and easy to wear, yet they are much more stylish and feminine than traditional versions. The straps that transition to narrower ties offer many options for how they can be tied. And...like so many sewing patterns, we as sewists are able to influence how casual or dressed up they become simply by fabric choice. Choose a fabric with some drape such as Tencel and pair them with a silk blouse and some heels for a dressed up look. Use a more traditional denim or linen and wear them with a tee shirt, sneakers or clogs and take a more casual approach. There are two front bib options - a scooped neck or the traditional straight front. Both bibs work with either version #1 or version #2. Version #1 is a more fitted back pant with back waist darts and an invisible side zipper opening, however, the ties still form a small amount of gathers at the back waist.
Version #2 is a looser back pant that slips on over your hips and does not have a closure to sew. This version is fuller and more gathered in the back. Use your hip measurement to determine your size for version #2.
Both versions also feature a front waistband, curved front patch pockets, optional back pockets, and cross-back straps that transition to narrower ties that thread through back waist belt loops forming back waist gathers. They may be tied in many ways - at the back, front or sides. The legs are somewhat wide and can be made full length or cropped. This is an intermediate level pattern. Sizes 00 - 20.
