As part of an ongoing design series, Alabama Studio Style builds upon techniques explored in Alabama Stitch Book with new stitching, stenciling, and beading methods, applying them to twenty extraordinary clothing and home decor projects. Also included are recipes comprising three delicious menus. Alabama Studio Style shows us that true style encompasses not only what we wear, how we decorate, and what we eat, but also how we care for our environment.

PATTERN DESCRIPTION Albion is a classic, duffle-style coat (version 1) or jacket (version 2). Each version is unisex and features toggle closures, tailored two-piece sleeves, yoke details, and a stylish three-piece hood. Version is a coat that hits at the mid thigh, with patch pockets, in-seam pockets, a detachable hood tab, and flannel lining, and version 2 is a hip-length unlined jacket with a combination of felled and bound seams, in-seam pockets, and interior pockets. Skill Level: Intermediate SIZES AND SUPPLIES Sizes: XS - 2XL Supplies: Lightweight fusible interfacing, four 1" buttons (version 1), two 1" buttons (version 2), four toggle closures, 10 yards 1/4" wide double fold bias tape (version 2). Main Fabric: Wool coating, wool flannel. Version 2: Canvas, waxed canvas, heavy cotton twill, denim, heavy waterproof fabrics. Lining Fabric: Version 1: Cotton flannel, light twill, lining fabric.

Alder is a loosely fitted sleeveless shirt dress with two options. View A falls into an A-Line at the waist and features a curved hem, bust darts and two breast pockets. View B features the same bodice as View A but with a gathered skirt at the sides and back of the garment resulting in an incredibly flattering and fun silhouette. The Archer Button Up is a loosely fitted button up shirt with long sleeves. View A has angled cuffs and a back pleat at yoke. View B has straight cuffs and a gathered lower back detail. Techniques involved include sewing a straight seam, setting sleeves, continuous button plackets, adding a shirt collar and buttons & buttonholes. Difficulty: Intermediate

The Arlo Track Jacket is the perfect lightweight layer. It features a sport collar, interesting seamlines, and comfortable front pockets. The Arlo is fitted without being tight and comes with three length options: short 22”/56cm, medium 24”/61cm, and long 26”/66cm. It is the type of zip-up you can wear on its own in fall and under a warm coat in winter. This is a unisex pattern and looks great on all gender expressions! This pattern is intermediate but is achievable by the confident beginner. This jacket is designed for knits with at least 20% cross grain stretch. French terry, sweatshirt fleece, ponte, and other sturdy knits are ideal for this pattern. Knits that are really drapey are not suitable for this pattern.

Tank features an asymmetrical front panel. Finish by top stitching along all the edges. Available in two lengths. The short length hits lower hip, the long length hits mid thigh. Sizes: XS-3XL
